Transparency—an unmistakable feature of the Modern Wing of the museum—has been applied throughout the art direction. With the pairing of Sabon Next and Ideal Sans a warm and elegant aesthetic is achieved, complimenting the vast catalog of artworks.

The AIC design features a 58-column grid inspired by Karl Gerstner’s design for the journal Capital, providing added flexibility compared to a typical 12-column approach.
